This week isn’t going by fast enough, it needs to be Friday so I can go out with friends and get a drink or…four lol. Anyway, I would love to get to know all of you better so help me out by filling out the questionnaire below please :-):
1. Where are you from and how’s the weather there right now?
I live in beautiful Southern California. It’s sunny and warm-ish outside right now. People are in shorts and flip flops! Oh, what brutal winters we face haha.
2. Favorite color?
I don’t have one, it changes all the time. Today’s color is soft ballet pink!
3. Favorite places to shop?
Nordstrom, Sephora, AE, Express, and online.
4. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A fashion buyer or working somewhere in the beauty industry.
5. Tell me five things you like about yourself:
My hair is semi-obedient most of the time, I have good feet for open toed shoes, my eyebrows are pretty good on their own, I’m a good listener, and I’m pretty dang smart :-).
6. How tall are you?
5’8″. I’m still working on embracing that.
7. What’s your style?
Mostly classic with a bit of trendy. I love clean lines, good fabrics, and great fit.
8. Favorite trend right now:
Soft pink and nude colored tops and shoes, they’re so feminine and pretty!
9. Least favorite trend right now:
Hm. It’s not a trend necessarily, but I’m really not liking when girls wear sheer leggings and tops that aren’t long enough. TMI!
10. What are 4 makeup items you can’t live without?
Mac’s MSFN, Covergirl Lashblast, TimeBalm concealer, Well Dressed blush, and Korres lip butter.
11. What beauty product/service do you splurge on?
My foundation/powders. My skin is picky and will flip the f out on me if I use any random products.
12. What beauty product/service do you skimp on?
Mascara. I’ve used expensive mascaras before and they don’t really do anything different than my Lashblast.
13. Favorite show?
True Blood. Hands down. I used to make so much fun of people that were into the Vampire thing too…
14. Favorite songs right now?
Pretty much anything by Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Sara Bareilles.
15. Best restaurant you’ve ever been to?
Cafe Allegro in Upland, California…best Italian ever!
16. How old are you? (or feel :-))
I’m 23 and feel 23.
17. Best part of this week?
Running every other day. I’m sticking with this!
18. Random beauty related story?
I asked for a sample of Origins VitaZing so I could try it before buying it because of my sensitive skin and the woman at the counter asked if I was allergic to Zing. Hahahahaha…I don’t think that’s an ingredient. Oh, special people.
19. What color nail polish are you wearing?
Not Just a Pretty Face by Essie with a glitter topcoat.
20. Weekend plans?
I’m celebrating my friend Dan’s 26th birthday tomorrow night with a big group of people, mattress shopping on Saturday, and errands allllll of Sunday. Blogging will have to be fit in there somewhere too!

1. Where are you from and how’s the weather there right now?
i grew up in berkeley, california but i’ve lived in london for a little over a year now. the weather is rainy and gray, but actually really warm and sunny compared to a few weeks ago.
2. Favorite color?
oh gosh there are so many….lime green, black, lilac, orange, etc.
3. Favorite places to shop?
oh man…haha. absolute vintage, liberty, sephora, topshop boutique section, online
4. What do you want to be when you grow up?
a fashion filmmaker and journalist

hmm….i have naturally long eyelashes, a good memory, i’m a people person, i’m overly confident (lol) and uhhh im self-disciplined most of the time

5’2″ 🙂 i like being tiny though

changes all the time but i guess kinda rockabilly vintage meets 60’s housewife at the moment

bare minerals foundation, brown down eyeshadow from mac, angled brush, liquid eyeliner

foundation. no cheap stuff on my skin, ha

mascara. maybelline and covergirl have done me more favours than dior

probably firefly, but at the moment never mind the buzzcocks

hmn. good question. there was this EPIC sushi restaurant in san francisco…probably that one.

some drunk girl at a bar asked if she could borrow my lipstick and when i reluctantly agreed she told me i should never lend anyone my lipstick and then hit on the guy i’m seeing. BITCH.

uh i have a massive amount of reading to do and there’s a party on saturday at my friend’s place sooo should be good 🙂

probably The Stinking Rose in L.A. Amazing food with tons of garlic (yum!). The only downside – you reek afterwards, lol

my new pantene volumizing shampoo leaves my hair feeling heavy/greasy around the roots, even after its blown dry. …I bought two bottles

“Unforgettable Red” by Sally Hansen. My mom forgot she had it in her medicine cabinet…
20. Weekend plans?
Vegas baby! Seeing Cher, chillin’ at Margaritaville, drinkin’ Fat Tuesdays, checkin’ out Pure…gonna be good. but not very restful, lol

Isn’t the weather crazy here right now? That Italian resturant in Upland is pretty darn amazing too, I can’t believe we live in the same area of Cali. I thought this was so much fun answering these that I decided to post my answers on my blog…

Chicago – and it’s way too cold. Honestly sometimes I have to remind myself of how much I truly love my city to stick around here for the winters.

Tough one but I always like reds and purples the most.
3. Favorite places to shop?
Nordstrom, Target (my sad addiction), Borders, Barnes & Noble, MAC, The Body Shop
4. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I’m still not sure. I always thought everything would be in place by now but it still isn’t 🙂
5. Tell me five things you like about yourself:
The fact that I can talk to anyone about anything, my ability to laugh at myself, my hair color, the shape of my mouth, and my eyes
6. How tall are you?
Barely 5’1″.
7. What’s your style?
Hmmm…I don’t know. I probably have too many jeans-and-tshirts-and-hoodies days because now I can wear whatever I want at work (and because I grew up a total tomboy) but I do like to dress up too. So I’ll just say 50% jeans/tees, 50% dresses/skirts/Mad Men-type clothes (that’s what you get after working in offices for 4 years!).
8. Favorite trend right now:
I don’t know how trendy I am, but I like how some girls can pull off the jeans-tucked-into-boots thing. I can’t since my calves aren’t skinny enough, but I think it looks great on the right person.
9. Least favorite trend right now:
I am with you on the girls who treat leggings like normal pants. I don’t need to see THAT much.
10. What are 4 makeup items you can’t live without?
MAC’s MSFN, Smashbox Photo-Op, MAC’s Opulash Mascara, and YSL’s Touche Eclat (gave into the hype and it works pretty well on me. Don’t think I can always swing for it though, given the price)
11. What beauty product/service do you splurge on?
I’m willing to spend a lot more on foundation and concealer since I wear those items every day but I’ve been pretty lucky to have some reasonably priced concealers and foundations work for me. I also go back and forth on spending a lot for a haircut…my hair grows so quickly.
12. What beauty product/service do you skimp on?
Eyebrow maintenance…no one does a better job than the woman I’ve been going to for eyebrow threading for the past 10 years. $12 for eyebrows plus upper lip threading (and that includes my $5 tip!)
13. Favorite show?
Mad Men but I also love Conan and The Colbert Report.
14. Favorite songs right now?
I’m loving anything that sounds like a summer jam because I’m desperately waiting for it to get warmer. I like that Far East Movement song “Rocketeer”.
15. Best restaurant you’ve ever been to?
Gah this is tough too because I love food so much, but my favorite place is Davanti here in Chicago.

28, sometimes feel older though!

Having Friday off and seeing The Fighter with the bf and going to a Brazilian steakhouse
